Designing in public without performing
Most of us design in public the wrong way. We post the polished screenshot, the clean Dribbble shot, and the "launched!" announcement. It looks like progress, but it's a performance.

Praevia Studio is the personal practice. Here every project is a rough cut of a bigger idea. Below: finished work, work-in-progress, and the notes taken along the way.

Read the story →Praevia - Latin for forsight, a going-before - is the name I gave this studio when I started it in 2026. because most of what I make starts as preview: a sketch of a site before it is built, a room plan before it is furnished, a draft before the a post is right.
I work alone, by choice, across two kinds of desing that keep teaching each other things: website design and interior design. Both ask the same question: how does a person move through a space?, and what should they notice first?
I also write about the process of making things, and the ideas that come up along the way. I write the Journal above - my journey as a self-taught designer, plus picks and guides for the things I find useful, interesting, or inspiring. I hope it helps you too.
For commissions, collaborations, or just to say the journal was useful. I read everything myself.
