Praevia Studio is the personal practice. Here every project is a rough cut of a bigger idea. Below: finished work, work-in-progress, and the notes taken along the way.

Read the story →Praevia — Latin for foresight, a going-before — is the name I gave this practice because most of what I make starts as a preview: a sketch of a brand before the client sees it, a rough cut before the film is locked, a draft before the essay is right.
I work alone, by choice, across three disciplines that keep teaching each other things: identity design, long-form writing, and short documentary film. Clients hire me for one of the three and usually leave with all three woven together.
When I'm not on a client project, I publish the Journal above — essays, field notes and half-finished ideas I'm not precious about sharing early.
For commissions, collaborations, or just to say the journal was useful. I read everything myself.
